The Wyrld is an ancient place, but it is a place that does not give up its secrets easily. Much of the history of the Wyrld is shrouded and unknown. Non-humans know of events different from humans, but often can, or will, do little to fill in the knowledge that human sages currently possess.
Recovered documents from the great kingdom of Niellenor form the basis for most knowledge of history before the present age. As opportunists and adventurers explore ruins and ancient cities they are bound to discover more of what went before, before the Wyrld began to change, before humans began to settle and tame the wilds with their great nations.
